A Cartoon Character is a doll!

Sylvia’s head is only four pieces of fabric. Like the rest of her, it is sculpted from the inside out with carefully placed wads of polyester stuffing. It is a challenge to turn a two-dimensional cartoon into a three-dimensional creature, allowing her sassy character to come through. She sits on my desk and never hesitates to tell me what she thinks.The Sylvia Doll was born in Oakland California. We stopped producing Zippy Dolls around that time. Sylvia did not approve.
